Executive Director

Risa is the Executive Director of Fourth Arts Block. Risa has worked as an administrator, curator and leader in the NYC arts community since 2005. In recent years, she has done extensive consulting work on the intrinsic and instrumental impact of the arts on community development. Most recently, she became a lead-facilitator of the NYC Real Estate Investment Cooperative. She has a masters in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and is on the board of The Invisible Dog Art Center. @risar

Director of Programs

Nadia is a native New Yorker, she is a mover/maker/administrator/social justice champion. She has worked administratively with a variety of artists and arts organizations, most recently Faye Driscoll, Donna Uchizono, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and Cora Dance. She makes dance-based work that is committed to collaboration and the examination of social constructs. She has had the pleasure of dancing for Amy Chavasse, Xan Burley, Alex Springer, Jesse Philips-Fein, EmmaGrace Skove-Epes, Katie Dean, and Shannon Hummel.



Marketing Director

Deloris is the Marketing Director at Fourth Arts Block. Deloris is a writer, an activist, and multi-media art maker, and has been an active community member in the New York world of art and culturals for nearly seven years. Deloris previously has lent staffing support to several New York institutions and remains a strong proponent for the city’s social services and other programs, as well as a strong advocate for communities fulfilling their own needs. Deloris has had the pleasure of enjoying and facilitating performance art all over the city. In the world of art facilitation she does wear several hats and even has read in venues ranging from basements to bars about the city. Deloris also loves math, and playing music!

Dance Block Assistant

Krista is the Dance Block Assistant at Fourth Arts Block. Krista is a dancer and choreographer, born, raised and based in New York City. Together with CJ Holm, she founded the dance company Jansen & Holm that makes work that is imaginative, spacious,and humane. She has danced at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the Paramount Theatre, Dance Theatre Workshop, Martha’s Vineyard, and other venues around US and Canada. She is also the teaching assistant to Ellen Robbins, whose classes were Krista’s first childhood experience in dance, choreography, and improvisation.

Associate Producer, art Work

Denise is currently the Associate Producer of art Work, FABnyc’s podcast on arts, culture, and labor here in New York City. Denise continues to work with the FAB staff for various special projects and is the proud Chief Bicycle Officer of the office.





Emily is a senior from the University of Delaware majoring in media communication with minors in journalism and international business studies. Her passion lies in using communication to make a lasting impact. Apart from her academic studies, Emily is actively involved with her student-run dance team, choreographing the team’s competition pieces and serving as a member of the executive board for the last three years. After graduation, Emily hopes to work in communication for a non-profit organization.
