The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy is an educational and cultural non-profit in existence since 1998, which was created to showcase The Lower East Side’s distinct history and identity, by offering customized private walking tours and innovative public tours of the cradle of American Jewish civilization. Our tours take visitors into sacred synagogue sites, where they learn how past generations came here, lived and worshiped. We aim to enrich the mind, enliven the spirit, tempt the palate, and inspire visitors of all ages and faiths. We want you to see where the American Dream began and is still alive and well.
