An evening to remember and reflect on the 30th anniversary of the Tompkins Square Riot and its significance in the gentrification of the Lower East Side.

Program:
– Introduction by Dakota Scott (Director, The People’s LES project) &
Noah Fuller (Below the Grid Lab)

– Revisiting events through the words of those who lived through it (reading of excerpts from first hand accounts by Lena Feliciano, Oscar Hallas, Zen Anton, and Dakota Scott) with photos by Q. Sakamaki

– An open dialogue with attendees, facilitated by Noah Fuller and Dakota Scott, on the meaning of the riot and its aftermath in the context of gentrification of the Lower East Side
