70 East 4th Street Cultural Center
Future Resident Organizations Include
Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company
Downtown Art
Future home of Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company and Downtown Art. Founded as an asylum for orphans and neglected children in the mid-1800’s, the building passed through many hands, serving variously as a lodge, saloon, and factory until the City took ownership in the 1970’s. Since the mid 1990’s, the building has been vacant. Once completed, the building will become an arts center, catering primarily to training of and performance by young people.
