The iatitheater_ presents “Brown Buffalo”

Oscar “Zeta” Acosta, a prominent figure in Chicano Letters, died mysteriously in Mexico in 1974 at the age of 39.  His body was never found.  In this two act play the self-proclaimed “Brown Buffalo” is expelled from the Inframundo (underworld) by Native elders for being “too loud and profane.”  They command him to return to the world of the living in a quest to “find his body.”  In his search he interacts with the people he was closest to including ex-wife Sandy, son Daniel, and best friend/chief antagonist Raoul Duke who described Acosta as a “Samoan Attorney” in the book and movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
